New Threat: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Explodes In A Woman's Purse

New Threat: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Explodes In A Woman's Purse

It may interest you to know that the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone has been found to have copied the nightmare Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had in 2016.
The explosive incident of Samsung’s recent Note model is still on the go! Sad as it may seem.

Samsung is being sued by a woman who reported an explosion of her Galaxy Note 9 smartphone

Recently, an American Galaxy Note 9 user reported that the phone exploded inside her purse. Reporting from New York Post, Diane Chung sued Samsung regarding the disgraceful explosion of her Samsung Galaxy Note right inside her purse. She filled a lawsuit against the company and she is currently waiting for the court’s judgement.

Diane Chung explained how the incident occurred, that she was using the smartphone while in an elevator and it suddenly became hot. For safety sake she stopped using the phone and dropped it inside her purse. Not quite long, she heard a noise and found smoke escaping out of her purse, only did she realise it was her Galaxy Note 9 that got exploded and in an attempt to bring it out, her fingers got burnt.

This is not funny at all! A $1234 (£899) Galaxy Note 9 has been found to be a threat to health. And according to her, the Galaxy Note 9 only stopped burning when it was carried with a cloth and dipped into water.

What Could Be The Cause Of This Galaxy Note 9 Explosion?
If one should investigate the cause of a smartphone that got burnt, the battery would be the first suspected part.
However, Kate Beaumont, product director, had a security check on Galaxy Note 9 batteries and concluded that the batteries did not catch fire. Meaning the battery may not be the reason for Diane Chung’s Galaxy Note 9 explosion.

Meanwhile, Samsung unleashed the following statement: “ We have not received any reports of similar incidents involving a Galaxy Note 9 device and we are investigating the matter.”

iPhone X2, iPhone X Plus and iPhone 9 Rumors; Everything You need To Know

iPhone X2, iPhone X Plus and iPhone 9 Rumors; Everything You need To Know

iPhone X Plus, iPhone 9 and iPhone X2 Release Date and Price

Apart from the iPhone 9 leaks, an iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus are two other iPhones that should be released as part of the 2018 iPhones. Concluding the number of iPhones that Apple reportedly has for 2018, are three; an iPhone 9, iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus.

Potential Names For 2018 iPhones

Apple may revert to its use of the ‘S’ nomenclature or continue the use of numerals and/or Roman numerals. What are we saying?
  • One of Apple 2018 iPhones could be a second iPhone X which would be named iPhone X2 or if the ‘S’ series naming should be used, it would be called iPhone XS
  • If numbers should be used instead, then 2018 iPhones would be iPhone  9, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus.

2018 iPhones Release Date and Price

According to a report from a German website, pre-orders for the new iPhones will start 14 September. Probably the launch event will kick off few days before 14 September, if Apple should stick to its adapted schedule for launching new iPhones, then we should expect the iPhone 9, iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus to strike an event on 12 September.

These three iPhones will sport various screen sizes which Apple will use to tag their prices. Apple Security Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo said there will be a 6.1-inch (320-330 PPI) LCD display variant and he claimed it will be the cheapest (even cheaper than the iPhone 8) which everyone suggests it will be called an iPhone 9 or iPhone 8S. Ming-Chi Kuo added that the 6.1-inch LCD screen iPhone could cost $600-$700.

Speaking of the other two iPhones;
Recent rumors/leaks had disclosed that two of the three iPhones will sustain an OLED display screen, while the other one will accommodate LCD screen display.
These two OLED iPhones are the said iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus.
The iPhone X Plus is said to hold much bigger features than the others; not excluding the display screen size which rumor suggests it will sport a 6.5-inch (480-500 PPI) Display Screen size. The iPhone X2 which could also be called iPhone XS will feature a 5.8-inch (458 PPI) OLED Screen Display like the iPhone X. However, these three iPhones will be similar to the iPhone X.

Rumor: Three Rear Cameras

A 2018 iPhone could feature a triple-lens rear camera which we believe the bigger variant (iPhone X Plus) could be that phone. According to MacRumors, the triple-lens camera would enhance the iPhone’s picture quality in low light environments and an improved rear zoom capacity.

Face ID or Touch ID?
One of these security sensors will be featured in all three 2018 iPhones, which would you prefer?

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that Apple's True-depth camera setup will be introduced to these three iPhones in 2018, Apple could drop off Touch ID (fingerprint sensor) and implement Facial Recognition technology across its 2018 iPhones.

Apple Pencil or in support.
The two OLED iPhones due for launch in 2018 will support Apple Pencil or iPen- so much more than a classical writing tool.

Conclusion
All three iPhones are due for launch in 2018, probably the first or second week of September. The 6.1-inch iPhone model will be the cheapest iPhone in 2018 which we believe will win the heart of consumers in the market. A reliable price range of the other two iPhones is still not certain, though others are suggesting $1100 price range for 2018 iPhones.

Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks: Everything you need to know —Triple-lens Rear Camera, 3D Face-ID, 5G Network

Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks: Everything you need to know —Triple-lens Rear Camera, 3D Face-ID, 5G Network

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 were initially the anticipating smartphones everyone thought would be unleashed this year, but unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 9 was recently launched and its pre-ordering is ongoing, leaving the Galaxy S10 hidden in the world of rumors (sometimes rumors become true anyway).

The Galaxy S10 is what's being given much predictions and leaks and that we’ll be sharing with you on this post. Keep reading!!!😎

The Galaxy S10 is expected to come with some unique features different from other previous devices.
Since the phone has missed this year CES and MWC, everyone is suggesting it could be the biggest hit in 2019 as it is believed it would be announced in early January at CES 2019 as part of the Galaxy series 10th year anniversary.

Here are some of the expected features of Galaxy S10:

  • Display and Design
There's definitely going to be a turn around in the display features of smartphones which will be launched next year and hopefully, Samsung may be the first Mobile company to introduce the change in its proposed Galaxy S10.

Reporting from an early tweet by the Popular and reliable leaker, Ice Universe, the Galaxy S10 screen resolution may exceed 600 Pixels Per-Square Inches (600 PPI) unlike the Galaxy S9 and S9+ which holds 570 ppi and 530 ppi respectively.

This could be a great turn up for Samsung upcoming devices. Reviewing Ice Universe’s tweet, you should know that the Galaxy S10 may come in two variants that is a Galaxy S10 and S10+ (following the pattern in past models) and according to the tweet, the smaller variant might accommodate a 600 PPI screen resolution while the larger model will exceed 600 PPI as early stated.

A unique Style Design is coming to the Galaxy S10 Models next year.
The transparent black plate design which is already existing with the HTC is what Samsung plans to introduce to the Galaxy S10, which will bring out the beauty of the Smartphone to enable it to stand a chance of winning the customers’ heart in the mobile market.

  • Here is something weird for you; A trio of models
Reporting from Business Insider, Ming-Chi Kuo, TF International Securities analyst claims that Samsung is preparing three phones with different display sizes of 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch. These handsets could be the three models of the Galaxy S10 as previously seen in June via ETNews.
Are you as curious as I? If the Galaxy S10 models should have a Galaxy S10 and S10+, then what could the third model be called?

If the smaller 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 is to feature a 600 PPI resolution display density then we should be expecting an increase in the resolution display to 4K quality.

These three Galaxy S10 models are likely to hold differentiated features. The bigger models are said to feature on-screen fingerprint sensors while the smaller model may keep to having a fingerprint sensor on the side.

  • An In-Screen Fingerprint and 3D Face-ID Style Camera sensors
The In-screen Fingerprint is what Samsung has been hoping to implement in its mobile devices but unluckily the company wasn't the first to get this feature straight into its brands. This is one feature that was rumored for the Galaxy Note 9 and S9, but Samsung has decided to preserve it for its Galaxy S10 models.

The use of “ultrasonic technology” is going to be implemented, which will produce a super accurate result far better than the optical technology being employed in other smartphones to scan and register fingerprints from beneath the screen.
D.J. Koh, President of Samsung Electronics, stated that “optical sensors give nothing else than a bad user experience.”

Rumor has it that Samsung’s Galaxy S10 models may opt-in for a Face-ID Stylus 3D Camera sensor. Samsung is partnering with 3D Camera firm Mantis Vision to help make this feature a reality in the Galaxy S10 models. If this 3D Face ID-beating security and biometric unlocking capabilities are true on the Galaxy S10, then iPhone X should get ready to compete with the device.

In addition to the above sensors, the Galaxy S10 is expected to also feature its Iris Scanning technology as alternative security sensor.

What next?

  • Triple Camera lenses to come true on the Galaxy S10
Samsung is working on a triple camera lens which it plans to polish on the upcoming Galaxy S10 models. These triple-lens set up will be mounted at the back of the phone with the added lens helping to capture quality photos in low-light condition.

What should you expect at the upper front of the Galaxy S10?
A dual selfie camera lens set up is what should sit on that spot all for the purpose of producing Portrait Mode effect on selfies, reporting from The Bell.

  • 5G Connectivity

Get ready to experience seamless internet speed in a bit. The future 5G Connectivity will become useful in 2019, smartphone Companies will start implementing this technology to their brands next year, and this is what the Galaxy S10 will support in addition to other network technologies (4G LTE, 3G, 2G).

Could Galaxy S10 be the first of Samsung Mobile to ditch the preloaded 5GB Connectivity?

D.J. Koh stated that “ the Galaxy S10 WILL not be the first Samsung Mobile Phone to support 5G Connectivity.”
This has to lead us to wonder if Samsung might unleash another of its brand before the end of this year, in other words, before the Galaxy S10 models will be launch. According to D.J Koh’s statement, hopefully, yes, and it will be the first to handle 5G Network Connectivity while the Galaxy S10 is expected to succeed it next year.

Could this propose phone stated to first feature 5G Connectivity technology be the yet unleashed Galaxy X foldable smartphone? A transformative phone/tablet which Samsung has been working on.

Conclusion
The Galaxy S10 is expected to come in three models and if all or more of the above-rumored specifications and features are what the handsets will later hold when they are unboxed, then we are pretty sure Samsung might win the customers’ heart in 2019.
However, all that’s been discussed above are the trending rumor specifications of the Galaxy S10 and remember that rumors are most times close to 100% accurate.

Tips to manage and extend your phone battery health

Tips to manage and extend your phone battery health

As the world is growing old so is our technology making more advancements. Comparing the phones that were used in the 90s with our present-day "smartphone" as we refer to them should give an awkward result.
With these present-day smartphone technologies, life has been made much easier than the way it was 30 years back.

But one would still prefer the odd mobile phones that existed during his youthful age (of course I'm speaking of the elders of today), however, some of them still exist. This is because the battery life cycle of these odd devices are far more durable than the battery we make use of in this present day, and this is as a result of the few numbers of petty workload they were designed for.

It's sad to know that the batteries of our present day smartphone devices do not meet up to the standard advancement that smartphone has acquired. Meanwhile, in order to make our battery have a long-term partnership with our phone, some tweaks have to be practised and that's what this post is all about. Keep reading to learn more…

Do not kill apps when you leave them

Most of us act against this after using an app in our smartphone. I used to be fond of eliminating every app (third-party and built-in) launched on my Android device thinking that it would help prevent rapid battery drain. This habit never produces anything good at the end of the day other than depleting the battery’s lifespan.

But you may want to get rid of annoying apps that consume battery heavily, consider uninstalling such app if it (the app) is incompetent. To know which app sucks more of the juice, then you should try navigating to your Settings>>Battery (in some phones, Power is seen instead) and there you will see how your apps are consuming your phone battery.

Turn off any connectivity after use

Unlike apps which we've found unfriendly when we kill them, connectivities like Wifi, hotspot, Bluetooth, Location (GPS) should be turned off after use to help save battery usage for other relevant tasks. If possible, Mobile (cellular) network should be turned off too.

Alternatively, you can turn on Airplane mode and every other connectivity will be turned off.

Disable Auto Synchronization

By default, apps and services like Google account and its integrated products, Whatsapp, Facebook and others are set to synchronize automatically.
Do you know that Auto Synchronization uses background processes that rely on your mobile data and battery? Yes, that's how it works, and you should consider disabling it and practise manual synchronization. How?
Go to your Settings>>Accounts>> Click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner and untick “Auto-Sync data”.
Moreover, some modifications could be made and this involves; manually adjusting which apps should be in sync and how frequently.

Why not avoid live wallpapers?
Live wallpapers could be so beautiful and give your screen a catchy look but unfortunately, your battery is what is being paid heavily for using live wallpapers.
Implementing static wallpaper is recommended to save your battery from being drained drastically. A lot of Static wallpaper is available online or you might even want to set one of your pictures.

Restrict Background Data For some Apps
Most times while you don't even think of using some apps, unknowingly to you, these apps will forcibly run and send data in the background causing abnormal battery usage. Apps such as the Google Play Store and Gmail are good examples of this habit.
You can restrict background usage of data for every app. Just go to your Settings>>Data Usage>>Mobile data usage>> choose any app you wish to restrict from Background data and turn off the icon.

But Note: Turning off Background data usage for certain apps may cause those apps to malfunction.

Reduce Animation Scale and Background Process
If you really wanna do this, then be ready to become a developer 🤘
To set these changes, you’ll need to access the Developer Options in your Settings, but you won't find it unless you've unlocked “Developer Options.”
To unlock Developer Options, head over to your Settings>>About>> Tap on the Build number 7 times and congratulations you're now a developer.

Now head back to Settings and Click on “Developer Option” above About. Scroll down gently until you see Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale. By default, each of these is set to Animation Scale x1, edit and turn off Animation for each case. Doing this will slightly increase your battery life as well as your phone performance.

Still, on that same long list of Developer Options, scroll down to find Background Process limit, and by default, it is set to the Standard limit but adjusting it further by three or four processes can slightly improve your battery life and performance.

NOTE: While on the Developer Options, be careful as any unknown option(s) you alter may change how your phone should function.

RECOMMENDED: These charging habits might reduce your battery lifespan; Here are tips for you

Finally
Maximizing your battery usage will help reserve some amount of juice for other operations. Android is blessed with so many optimizations to help you modify your device to your taste.
