Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks: Everything you need to know —Triple-lens Rear Camera, 3D Face-ID, 5G Network

Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks: Everything you need to know —Triple-lens Rear Camera, 3D Face-ID, 5G Network

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 were initially the anticipating smartphones everyone thought would be unleashed this year, but unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 9 was recently launched and its pre-ordering is ongoing, leaving the Galaxy S10 hidden in the world of rumors (sometimes rumors become true anyway).

The Galaxy S10 is what's being given much predictions and leaks and that we’ll be sharing with you on this post. Keep reading!!!😎

The Galaxy S10 is expected to come with some unique features different from other previous devices.
Since the phone has missed this year CES and MWC, everyone is suggesting it could be the biggest hit in 2019 as it is believed it would be announced in early January at CES 2019 as part of the Galaxy series 10th year anniversary.

Here are some of the expected features of Galaxy S10:

  • Display and Design
There's definitely going to be a turn around in the display features of smartphones which will be launched next year and hopefully, Samsung may be the first Mobile company to introduce the change in its proposed Galaxy S10.

Reporting from an early tweet by the Popular and reliable leaker, Ice Universe, the Galaxy S10 screen resolution may exceed 600 Pixels Per-Square Inches (600 PPI) unlike the Galaxy S9 and S9+ which holds 570 ppi and 530 ppi respectively.

This could be a great turn up for Samsung upcoming devices. Reviewing Ice Universe’s tweet, you should know that the Galaxy S10 may come in two variants that is a Galaxy S10 and S10+ (following the pattern in past models) and according to the tweet, the smaller variant might accommodate a 600 PPI screen resolution while the larger model will exceed 600 PPI as early stated.

A unique Style Design is coming to the Galaxy S10 Models next year.
The transparent black plate design which is already existing with the HTC is what Samsung plans to introduce to the Galaxy S10, which will bring out the beauty of the Smartphone to enable it to stand a chance of winning the customers’ heart in the mobile market.

  • Here is something weird for you; A trio of models
Reporting from Business Insider, Ming-Chi Kuo, TF International Securities analyst claims that Samsung is preparing three phones with different display sizes of 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch. These handsets could be the three models of the Galaxy S10 as previously seen in June via ETNews.
Are you as curious as I? If the Galaxy S10 models should have a Galaxy S10 and S10+, then what could the third model be called?

If the smaller 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 is to feature a 600 PPI resolution display density then we should be expecting an increase in the resolution display to 4K quality.

These three Galaxy S10 models are likely to hold differentiated features. The bigger models are said to feature on-screen fingerprint sensors while the smaller model may keep to having a fingerprint sensor on the side.

  • An In-Screen Fingerprint and 3D Face-ID Style Camera sensors
The In-screen Fingerprint is what Samsung has been hoping to implement in its mobile devices but unluckily the company wasn't the first to get this feature straight into its brands. This is one feature that was rumored for the Galaxy Note 9 and S9, but Samsung has decided to preserve it for its Galaxy S10 models.

The use of “ultrasonic technology” is going to be implemented, which will produce a super accurate result far better than the optical technology being employed in other smartphones to scan and register fingerprints from beneath the screen.
D.J. Koh, President of Samsung Electronics, stated that “optical sensors give nothing else than a bad user experience.”

Rumor has it that Samsung’s Galaxy S10 models may opt-in for a Face-ID Stylus 3D Camera sensor. Samsung is partnering with 3D Camera firm Mantis Vision to help make this feature a reality in the Galaxy S10 models. If this 3D Face ID-beating security and biometric unlocking capabilities are true on the Galaxy S10, then iPhone X should get ready to compete with the device.

In addition to the above sensors, the Galaxy S10 is expected to also feature its Iris Scanning technology as alternative security sensor.

What next?

  • Triple Camera lenses to come true on the Galaxy S10
Samsung is working on a triple camera lens which it plans to polish on the upcoming Galaxy S10 models. These triple-lens set up will be mounted at the back of the phone with the added lens helping to capture quality photos in low-light condition.

What should you expect at the upper front of the Galaxy S10?
A dual selfie camera lens set up is what should sit on that spot all for the purpose of producing Portrait Mode effect on selfies, reporting from The Bell.

  • 5G Connectivity

Get ready to experience seamless internet speed in a bit. The future 5G Connectivity will become useful in 2019, smartphone Companies will start implementing this technology to their brands next year, and this is what the Galaxy S10 will support in addition to other network technologies (4G LTE, 3G, 2G).

Could Galaxy S10 be the first of Samsung Mobile to ditch the preloaded 5GB Connectivity?

D.J. Koh stated that “ the Galaxy S10 WILL not be the first Samsung Mobile Phone to support 5G Connectivity.”
This has to lead us to wonder if Samsung might unleash another of its brand before the end of this year, in other words, before the Galaxy S10 models will be launch. According to D.J Koh’s statement, hopefully, yes, and it will be the first to handle 5G Network Connectivity while the Galaxy S10 is expected to succeed it next year.

Could this propose phone stated to first feature 5G Connectivity technology be the yet unleashed Galaxy X foldable smartphone? A transformative phone/tablet which Samsung has been working on.

Conclusion
The Galaxy S10 is expected to come in three models and if all or more of the above-rumored specifications and features are what the handsets will later hold when they are unboxed, then we are pretty sure Samsung might win the customers’ heart in 2019.
However, all that’s been discussed above are the trending rumor specifications of the Galaxy S10 and remember that rumors are most times close to 100% accurate.

Samsung Says It Will Unveil Samsung Galaxy S9 Next Month At MWC, Barcelona

Samsung Says It Will Unveil Samsung Galaxy S9 Next Month At MWC, Barcelona

Samsung has announced what we've been waiting to hear, that the anticipating Samsung Galaxy S9 will be unveiled in Barcelona, Spain.

Initially, according to early rumours of Samsung Galaxy S9, everyone expected the flagship smartphone to be reviewed at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. The Central Electronic Show (CES) 2018 occurred some few days ago and the anticipating Samsung Galaxy S9 was not announced during the show.

However, Samsung is going back to their usual home for launching, it has announced that the Galaxy S9 would hold its launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. The show is scheduled to kick off in late next month.

According to a ZDNet report, Samsung's mobile chief, DJ Koh, made an announcement at a press conference during the Central Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. He stated that the Galaxy S9 will be revealed during the trade show in Barcelona, Spain, that is the MWC show to hold from February 26 to March 1. The MWC has been the home of Samsung Galaxy S series except for the current Galaxy S8 that was launched at its own Galaxy Unpacked event held in March last year.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and other predecessors got went on sale in April, so according to this makeup history, the Galaxy S9 and probably S9+ might go on sale either in late March or early April, though the exact release date is yet to be known.

Koh also announced that the anticipating Galaxy X foldable Smartphone may be postponed to 2019. He went further to say that the user interface was obviously the main obstacle in commercialization and that Samsung is aggressively looking to fix the issue.

Now that Samsung has announced what we've been suspecting for weeks, let's wait for the launching of the anticipating Galaxy S9 hopefully to be unveiled during this year's MWC scheduled to kick off from February 26 to March 1. Meanwhile, before the launch, let's view its rumoured specifications.

Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ rumoured specs and release date

Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ rumoured specs and release date

The Galaxy S series is about to be updated. Watch out for the upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9+

Samsung is ready to strike again with another flagship member of Galaxy S series, other than the S8 have been released, Galaxy S9 and S9+ is what we are expecting next.

Now it's becoming much more competitive to my look as smartphones are being released almost at the same time, it seems like every week.

Within the previous eight weeks, Samsung launched its Galaxy Note 8, Apple released the long-awaited iPhone 8 & 8 Plus and iPhone X, last week Google unveiled its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Huawei’s Mate 10 launch is today, and yet more competitors like Samsung is preparing for another launch of their smartphones.

No launch date has been fixed yet for the upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9+, we are still anticipating for it.
But before we get any official invitation regards its launch date, let's get to know what others are saying Galaxy S9 and S9+ should have, I mean its rumoured specifications.

RUMOURED SPECS, PRICE & RELEASE DATE OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S9 & S9+

OS & PROCESSOR
Both Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to run on Android 8.0 or 8.1 Oreo Operating System so users will be able to enjoy all benefits of Oreo Android.

There's a news that Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be the first to feature the Qualcomm’s yet-unannounced Snapdragon 845 chip processor. Reporting a post on Gsmarena, the first set production of Snapdragon 845 Chipset will be sold to Samsung for its S9 phones.

Speaking of speed, with this Snapdragon 845 processor, I am uncertain because the chipset is yet to be existing.
The performance will be great and more than the S8 if this rumour turns out true, that Galaxy S9 and S9+ might get maintained by a whopping 6GB RAM.

DISPLAY
Galaxy S9 and S9+ are rumoured to be built with an HDR display and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, meaning the phones might have a bright display with good colour accuracy. And perhaps the smartphone might be bendable too. The Galaxy S9 might come with a 5.8-inch screen display while the S9+ could be 6.2-inch screen display.

We'd expect Galaxy S9 & S9+ to have IP68 certification to make them water resistant just like the latest Huawei Mate 10.
Also might be the presence of fingerprint or rather Face ID sensor on both devices.

CAMERA
No big stories yet about their cameras.
But we're anticipating Galaxy S9 and S9+ should support dual-lens rear camera just like the Galaxy Note 8 that features two 12-megapixel cameras.
According to Korean IT site, ET News, the smartphones could feature a sensor which will allow shooting of slow-move footage at 1000fps.

RELEASE DATE
The release date is not certain. Though many say it would be released in February 2018 if the event is scheduled to kick off at MWC, or perhaps March or April 2018 if they decide to hold the launch at its own event.

As for the price, there's no news yet. But we promise to publish any reliable update on this blog, so please do come back for more tech info.
Meanwhile, Huawei Mate 10 official specs and price will be released on this platform a day or two after the launch event.

Galaxy S8 Users complaining of the phone not receiving text messages

Galaxy S8 Users complaining of the phone not receiving text messages

There's a bug currently bringing down the worth of Samsung Galaxy S8. The smartphone no longer receive SMS messages.

Recently, there's been complaints arriving from Samsung Galaxy S8 users, saying that “SMS messages are failing to arrive on the smartphone”. The issue was reported as experienced by users in these five major countries; US, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, FRANCE, AND EUROPE, saying that four major mobile phone networks in the US are affected as well as mobile phone networks in other affected countries.

Initially, people taught the issue is arising from the mobile phone network operators. A test was made by inserting the SIM card in the affected Samsung mobile phone into another brand of smartphone device, and the issue was found solved, meaning the bug is actually from Samsung brand.

Some complaint comments by affected users on reddit platform, has created a large thread on the Galaxy S8 subreddit page as well as on forum available online.

Following the comments on reddit.com, Culby who said he missed some important work text that resulted in him dragging his ass to work three (3) hours before the newly appointed time, only for him to have found out that he didn't have to go through those stress. Sounds funny and annoying to my ears, Hahaha…

Reporting another comment by another reddit user called Ep260 who said “she tried sending text message to her mom but wasn't successful, she honestly had thought it was just her mom’s ancient flip phone not sending messages, but later realized it was her newfangled smartphone”.
According to another reddit user called Aquie5t who added: “I’m in Australia on Optus and I have had the problem as well. Using both Android Messages and the stock Samsung Messages.” To prove this bug is not only prone to the US also but other countries.

Another comment by a reddit user called Turbomuffler made me believe the bug is available not to the Galaxy S8 alone, as he complained of his Galaxy S7 Edge encountering the same problem,  this was his comment: I’m missing a few messages too. Galaxy S7 Edge, Android Messages app, AT&T. It caused me to drive an hour out of my way to an event that was cancelled via a text that I didn’t receive”

Luckily enough, there are other third-party messaging apps available online for use, but the annoying thing is that, some of these messaging apps like Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp work with the two-factor authentication especially facebook to get one's account logged in by an authorized user.

And users with Galaxy S8 will never have the chance of receiving a two-factor authentication code via SMS text.

This bug has caused so many disasters, and is still causing more. I'm sympathized to those affected Samsung mobile phone users who do no longer receive SMS alert from their place of work causing them to miss work schedule.

Too bad Samsung is yet to put a fix to the bugs.
