Samsung Says It Will Unveil Samsung Galaxy S9 Next Month At MWC, Barcelona

Samsung Says It Will Unveil Samsung Galaxy S9 Next Month At MWC, Barcelona

Samsung has announced what we've been waiting to hear, that the anticipating Samsung Galaxy S9 will be unveiled in Barcelona, Spain.

Initially, according to early rumours of Samsung Galaxy S9, everyone expected the flagship smartphone to be reviewed at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. The Central Electronic Show (CES) 2018 occurred some few days ago and the anticipating Samsung Galaxy S9 was not announced during the show.

However, Samsung is going back to their usual home for launching, it has announced that the Galaxy S9 would hold its launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. The show is scheduled to kick off in late next month.

According to a ZDNet report, Samsung's mobile chief, DJ Koh, made an announcement at a press conference during the Central Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. He stated that the Galaxy S9 will be revealed during the trade show in Barcelona, Spain, that is the MWC show to hold from February 26 to March 1. The MWC has been the home of Samsung Galaxy S series except for the current Galaxy S8 that was launched at its own Galaxy Unpacked event held in March last year.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and other predecessors got went on sale in April, so according to this makeup history, the Galaxy S9 and probably S9+ might go on sale either in late March or early April, though the exact release date is yet to be known.

Koh also announced that the anticipating Galaxy X foldable Smartphone may be postponed to 2019. He went further to say that the user interface was obviously the main obstacle in commercialization and that Samsung is aggressively looking to fix the issue.

Now that Samsung has announced what we've been suspecting for weeks, let's wait for the launching of the anticipating Galaxy S9 hopefully to be unveiled during this year's MWC scheduled to kick off from February 26 to March 1. Meanwhile, before the launch, let's view its rumoured specifications.
