Minimum Requirements to get Fortnite Mobile for Android

Minimum Requirements to get Fortnite Mobile for Android

Fortnite Epic game

Fortnite game for Android is soon to hit the internet, though according to a recent report, the game might skip google play, that is, we might be unable to download this game from Google Play rather via the Fortnite installer.

According to Tim Sweeney, Epic Games CEO, "the Fortnite Game will be coming to all Android devices that have met up with the requirements of running it stable and with good performance. Stay tuned for details of the launch timing."
He added that Fortnite will be playable via the Fortnite installer and will not be available in Google Play, the reason being that the company doesn't believe in offering 30% of Fortnite’s revenue to "Games & Apps market" such as the Google Play Store.

Tim Sweeney said, “ The 30% store tax is expensive in a world where a 70% revenue going to the game developers must cover all the cost of developing, operating and supporting their games before thinking of how much profit is earned." This means Epic wants to build a direct relationship with its customers across all possible platforms.

Two key requirements to having Fortnite Game on Android is an Android version of 5.0 (Lollipop) and higher, and the Android should be powered with 3GB RAM, at least.

Minimum requirements needed to run Fortnite Mobile on Android are;
  • Android OS: 64-bit Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher
  • GPU: Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher, Adreno 530 or higher.
    RAM: 3GB
  • Reporting from Gadget.ndtv.com, Samsung devices with its Exynos 8895 and other devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processors or higher should be able to install and play Fortnite Mobile Game.

As previously stated, Fortnite for Mobile is soon to be launched, however, the date is yet unannounced.

Though, the Android Beta version of Fortnite Mobile is available on the Game’s official site. All you need to do to play the released beta version is to visit the Developer's Site and sign up for an email invite. The invitation email will be sent to you as soon as you can play.

Samsung Unpacked Event: Galaxy Note 9 release date, price and specs

Samsung Unpacked Event: Galaxy Note 9 release date, price and specs

As was previously announced that Samsung will be holding its 2018 Unpacked Event on August 9 which is today, has finally kicked off with more present and releases offered to the globe.

The Event started when DJ Koh, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, came on stage and he talked about the history of mobile phone which started in the 1970s and with much questions and ideas which came from consumers led to the gradual advancement in the mobile tech world and it’s still advancing.

Haven said much on the history of mobile phones, DJ Koh introduced the Galaxy Note 9, a 6.4inch-screen smartphone with an edge-to-edge display and an amazing Stylus Pen (S-Pen).

Before the unpacked event date was even announced, there's already been leaks and speculative rumours of what the Note 9 would offer. And surprisingly, from what was unveiled during the unpacked event, the Galaxy Note 9 specifications and features seem to have correlated with the leaks earlier spread online. All thanks to everyone who contributed to the leaks of this smartphone.

Release Date
Pre-ordering of the Galaxy Note 9 begins on 9 August in the UK and 10 August in the US while shipping of the device will start on 24 August, that is two weeks from now.

Price
There are variants of the Galaxy Note 9 which is distinguished in terms of Memory ( Internal Storage and RAM).
The device is available in two options: 128GB storage size/6GB RAM OR 512GB storage size/8GB RAM.

The 128GB/6GB variant of the Galaxy Note 9 will be available for around £899 ($1000) SIM-free model, while the 512GB/8GB option will go for around  £1,099 ($1250)

Prices in other countries may vary though approximately equal to the above prices.

Specifications and Features of the Galaxy Note 9
The Galaxy Note 9 will be one of the biggest phones in 2018, with a 6.4in Super AMOLED Display mounted on its front, up to 512GB storage and 8GB RAM to receive every file you want to keep and use, and a 4000mAh to power it up.

For the first time, one can hold a smartphone with 1TB memory space. The Galaxy Note 9 has a Micro SD card slot capable of housing up to 512GB external storage space. This means with the 512GB/8GB variant, one should have a total storage space of 1TB 😀
One could finally throw off the habit of uninstalling amazing games and apps painfully to the past.

At the back of the Galaxy Note 9 is seated a dual 12MP camera featuring dual-aperture technology and is capable of recording Super Slow Move videos. The camera has a way of optimising scene automatically and detecting flaw to improve photos.
At the top front of the device rests an 8MP selfie camera with Dual video call feature.

There's more to talk about on the new S-Pen that will ship with the Galaxy Note 9.

Much improvement is on the Galaxy Note 9 S-Pen designed to perform extremely amazing tasks for you.

It's amazing to know that Samsung technically squeezed a portable battery and a tiny Bluetooth Low-Energy antenna into the Galaxy Note 9 S Pen.

Introducing the Bluetooth S Pen that lets you perform some remote-controlled shortcuts, like taking photos 30 feet away and other shortcuts such as:

Music Player: Navigate through your Music files, play and pause music / skip to the next track.
• Camera: Flip the camera / take a photo or record a video
• Photo Gallery: Swipe to the next photo / back to a previous photo

Apparently, the S Pen does not need to be charged but Samsung says a 40 seconds charge of the S Pen will provide 30 minutes of standby battery.

Top features of Android 9 Pie you should know - See why it's being awarded as the best OS

Top features of Android 9 Pie you should know - See why it's being awarded as the best OS

Android 9 pie has become official. It’s here for you with a helping hand from Artificial intelligence to help you customize your Android phone for smartness and simplicity.

The name Android 9 Pie was officially disclosed on 7 August 2018 when Google Pixel devices started getting the OTA update of our very new Android Operating System.

Users of the Google Pixels who got the System update yesterday claimed that the version answers most questions that previous Android OS versions failed.

Reporting the statement of Sameer Samat, VP of Product Management, Android & Google Play, on Google’s main blog, he said: “We’ve built Android 9 to learn from you—and work better for you—the more you use it.”

Android 9 Pie, with the assistance from AI, will master the use of your device to help predict your next task so you can jump right into your intended action, prioritise and save battery power for your most used apps and many more...

Android 9 Pie comes with an Adaptive Battery feature which studies the apps you use often and reserves battery power for them. In addition to that, to save power, the battery triggers an automatic adjustment of your phone’s brightness which is dependent on the external environment; this is what Google refers to as Adaptive Brightness.

App Actions
As predicted before the official release, Android 9 when installed on your phone introduces a feature called App Actions which will make your phone become even smarter.
With this feature, your phone should be able to understand how you use it and can predict your next action based on your daily routine.
Let’s say you are preparing to go to your workplace; you might either be triggered by suggestions like navigating to work on Google Maps or resuming an article with Google Doc.
When a headphone is plugged into your phone, it opens your music playlist, let's say Spotify playlist.

Slices
According to Sameer Samat, the slices will be made available after the fall. This feature is quite similar to/being part of the App Actions, it provides relevant information from your favourite apps.
Let’s say you need a ride and you type the keyword ‘Uber’ into Google search, the search result will contain your home and work address. The word “slices” was adapted from the term “pie slices”.

New System Navigation
There’s a new system of navigation featuring just one home button.
Google suggests this would be better and convenient for taller phones to curb the inconveniences of navigating with one hand.

Swiping up the home button from anywhere will draw a fullscreen preview of recently used apps and you can simply relaunch any with a single tap on the app’s icon.

If you’re the type that toggles between apps, with Smart Text Selection in Android 9, it is simplified. This feature helps to recognize the meaning of the text you’re selecting and draws out relevant actions as suggestions.
This new System Navigation can be enabled in Settings.

Android 9 is designed to understand and make life better.
Stop being addicted to your phone!
Sometimes we wish we could disconnect from our devices and face other issues of life. Hopefully, this is possible with the help of Android 9 Pie servicing your device.

This new Android OS introduces a feature called App timer to help you understand how you spend time on your handset. To limit your use of certain apps installed on your phone, you can set an app to a limited time which the app icon will later turn out grey on your home screen once the time is reached.

Improved Security
Android will never exempt this in any of its OS versions.
According to Sameer Samat, the use of biometrics as security pass such as fingerprint has been bumped with improvements to enable industry-leading hardware security capabilities to allow protection of sensitive personal data like credit card information using a protected and dedicated chip.

WhatsApp status to start displaying ads from next year

WhatsApp status to start displaying ads from next year

WhatsApp is planning a strategy of gaining more profits and this strategy is about serving users with ads on status. This is according to latest reports.

But do you think this would help maintain users’ flexibility?

WhatsApp is the most used messaging app all over the world and is soon to start implementing advertisements within the status area. This could likely be that WhatsApp is taking the lead from Instagram which already has been serving adverts on news feed. According to reports, the serving will be similar to what Instagram already implemented.

This news has been online for long, but believe me, WhatsApp is set to implement adverts in Status starting from next year, the notice is quite coming too early though it’s good we know what will be coming along a new version of WhatsApp in 2019.

Speaking of statistics, WhatsApp is being used by over 1.5 billion users and out of this number are 450 million users making use of the WhatsApp status, this is higher than Instagram which records about 400 million.

With the massive turn up of the use of Whatsapp status, tailoring ads on the platform will drive revenue for Facebook.
Yeah, you heard that. According to another report which claims that Facebook will start displaying adverts on its platform which will also be linked to WhatsApp. This means that Facebook link ads will be sold to WhatsApp businesses.

All the same, if this is true, then the plan is all about growing Facebook revenue.

But do we users ever have a choice?
Facebook has been fair when it comes to giving users ultimate need of choosing what is best for them from features available.

Users will be given the mandate to either allow or disallow adverts from showing up in their status page.
This means that the move could be optional and it all depends on you.

All in one, the report confirms that the ads showing on WhatsApp status will be powered by “Facebook advertising system” and will be programmed to identify users with business on WhatsApp.

Android 9 Pie OTA update officially released to Pixel devices today - Other devices are soon to get the update

Android 9 Pie OTA update officially released to Pixel devices today - Other devices are soon to get the update

Guess what the Android P is called…
“Android Pie”
Google has officially revealed the name of Android P to be called Android Pie

While I was running through my news feed on Google+, I came across this announcement by Andrea Gotschin (Moderator @ Android Beta Program) where he stated that the Android 9 Pie will be rolling out to the Pixel Phones today as part of the official release. He also added that devices which participated in the Beta program will automatically receive their upgrade via OTA update.

This is a quote from him (Andrea Gotschin):

“Today, Android 9 Pie will begin rolling out to Pixel phones as part of the official release. Devices that participated in the Beta program through our device partners will receive the update by the end of this fall! All currently enrolled Beta devices will receive an OTA update notification automatically. Once installed, you will no longer be able to downgrade to Oreo via OTA.

Note: Un-enrolling your device from the Beta program prior to receiving the public update will wipe your device. Once you install this public update, any time you un-enrol from the Beta your device will automatically be put back on the public track and your device will not get wiped.

You are likely already familiar with the new features, but please take a look at our consumer blog post (https://blog.google/products/android/introducing-android-9-pie/) for more information. The post also includes instructions for joining the beta to receive the Digital Wellbeing features (Dashboard, Wind Down, App Timer, etc.), which will officially launch on Pixel phones this fall, with Android One and other devices coming later this year."

Also, he added that if your device is still running the Beta program, you will automatically receive an OTA update to any future versions of Android Pie as soon as they are released

Interpreting the news, all other compatible devices that participated in the Beta program shall receive an OTA update by the end of this fall. Remember the previous news I published on this blog that Android P is set to be released on August 20 as seen on Evan Blass’ tweet, so this means that Android 9 Pie is just a few weeks away from other devices (apart from the Pixel Smartphones which is already getting the OTA update).

Android 9 Pie current supported devices:
The Android 9 Pie is currently available to 5 devices;
Google Pixel
Google Pixel XL
Google Pixel 2
Google Pixel 2 XL
Essential Phone

Now Let's discuss some of the top features Android 9 Pie is packed with
Now we have a new Android OS working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for a smarter, simpler experience.

With Android 9 Pie installed on your Phone:
You should be able to navigate with ease; introducing the new system navigation featuring a single home button.
This will be very helpful especially when featured on a taller phone where the user may not find it comfortable getting things done on the phone with one hand.

There’s also an option in the settings menu where you can change back to the three button navigation if you do not appreciate the one button navigation.

Your smartphone will last for long on a single charge. With Android 9 Pie, your smartphone battery will be able to understand your pattern of app usage and will prevent irrelevant discharge.
Also, there will be an automatic adjustment on your phone’s brightness ( Adaptive brightness) depending on how bright or dark is the external environment, which also saves some percent of charge.

App Actions will become easy and awesome as it will predict the next move as you start an application or you connect a gadget. For example, connecting headphone will automatically prompt your smartphone to open the music playlist.

Plus many more…
Watch out for our next update on Android 9 Pie as we will unleash the full features of the new OS.

Finally, the release date of the anticipating Android P (Android 9) Operating System is now disclosed to everyone.
Google said it will unleash the Android P OS on August 20, this date is the same as last year’s launch. See the tweet below 👇

While we've all seen the features Android P will be having, the name is still yet unknown, though, a recent report showed that the Operating System will be called Android Pistachio.
